Brandi is from Charlotte, NC and has been with Farmer’s Table/The Q Shack since 2014. After graduating Wingate University with a Bachelor of Finance, she spent a few years working in marketing and management before joining us full-time. Her experience includes: web design, digital design, advertising, copy writing, and cross-channel marketing. She currently serves as a Catering & Guest Services Manager and assists with customer experience management and marketing.
Thomas Robinette, Culinary Director
Thomas started cooking because of his mom. His fondest memories were of her cooking at a local church in Durham. In 2002 he graduated with an associate’s degree from Johnson and Wales Culinary College in Charleston S.C. While catering for the Citadel in Charleston he picked up a variety of outstanding talents and skills as a southern inspired chef. Following catering, he worked for over six years for Aramak before moving to Durham, North Carolina. In Durham he was head chef at Tylers Tap Room located at the American Tobacco Campus.
David Fowle, Venue Relations and Outreach Manager
David is a 20-year veteran of the specialty coffee business. His prior cafes have won numerous local and national awards. His last major venture before joining Southern Harvest in 2013 was as a partner on the renovation of a 100-year-old building in downtown Raleigh. David has been married for over 25 years to Liz, whom he met in a coffee shop. They have 2 grown children.
Rachelle Jaquay, General Manager at The Q Shack
Originally from Syracuse, NY, Rachelle Started as a baker at The Q Shack in 2008. She has traveled to various restaurants throughout the company as a general manager and a corporate trainer for all staff. She is currently the general manager and chef at the Q Shack in North Hills. Her extensive cooking background and Italian heritage have made her proud of the food she serves to our guests. Her five children have also made her no stranger to the kitchen. Rachelle loves her guests and makes it her priority to carry out our mission every day to love and nourish our guests, vendors, and staff.
Michelle Alarcon, Marketing Director for Farmer's Table Restaurant Group and Southern Harvest
Michelle has been with Farmers Table since 2012. She has consulted for a variety of property management companies and has an extensive background in venue and special event planning. She has traveled extensively with her husband Jason and their son Porter. They are always in search of the next great meal!
Tom Meyer, Owner
Tom Meyer is the owner/operator of the restaurants and catering companies of Farmer's Table Restaurant Group and Southern Harvest Hospitality Group. Since 2003, Tom has been involved in creating a wide range of restaurants that bring the very best of area farms and ranches to North Carolina tables through a careful designed network of independent farmers. In 1992, Tom was the co-founder of Nana's Restaurant in Durham, a restaurant that earned honors from Esquire Magazine as one of the year's Top 10 restaurants nationwide.
